Cards and Collages
So many memories in a collage!

At most of the online sites and kiosks, you can also make greeting cards, photo cards and note cards that are often sold in sets of 10 or more. Here I am sharing individual prints with creative borders, text, or collage features.
Try a store kiosk soon---it is so much fun!

I love store kiosks at Bartells, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and Walmart to make individual prints with exciting borders and personalized text. You will usually select “Cards” not “Prints” to get some decorative or seasonal borders. Kiosks screens might vary store to store.
I have two favorite places to make COLLAGES:
1. Bartell’s Kiosk: Choose collage; check out the “Bigger” and “Smaller” buttons to make text or specific pictures a different size.
2. My other favorite place to make Collages is at Snapfish Online or Walgreens Online; look for “Collages”, or on Snapfish site you look under “Prints” to find Collage Prints. Snapfish allows you to pick up prints at Walgreens. It is a little confusing---but if you pick up your Snapfish cards at Walgreens, it is a little bit more money per print---but then you do not pay shipping!! All in all---if you are printing 5-10+ copies of same collage, you can save money by using Snapfish and shipping them to yourself, especially for 5x7, or 8x10 sizes!
3.Costco Online has the exact same collage format as Snapfish, less expensive, but smallest size is 8x10. Rite Aid Kiosk, and Walmart Kiosk have a couple of good collages as well.
Good places for getting paper and envelopes: Paper Zone, Michael’s, Joann’s; you can also check Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, etc.

Tips and Techniques for Creating Cards and Collages:
1. Price is generally less if you wait an hour or more, or days. Online ordering is often less money, but then you have to have the item shipped to you and shipping can be pricey!
2. “Sets” of cards vary---folded or flat, photo paper or card stock, sets or 10 or 20 or singles, etc.
3. To make prints with fun borders and text, you often need to look in the “Cards” category not just “Print” category.
4. Kiosks: look around screen for instructions, ask for assistance, find a word “edit” often for text, take out media!
5. Photo Mount Cards-Mount your own 4x6 photo on these edged cards from Blick or ArtSuppliesOnline. Or you can buy a package of #6 or #7 cards at Paper Zone or other craft supply store without an edge.
6. Use a special corner craft punch so you can “frame” a photo on your card---Joann’s or other craft supply store. Cut paper 6.5x9 inches for a 4x6 photo.
7. Find some fun frames: Bed Bath and Beyond, Michael’s, Joann Fabric and Craft Stores, Aaron Brothers, etc.
8. Visiting a store kiosk is the easiest way to make a single print with a fun border and text, because most of the online sites no not allow you to make just one card! Rite Aid online does have neat borders for individual “cards”--even though their website is a bit slow!
9. Online sites are free, and usually just ask that you order from them at least once in a year. Most online sites mail your photos(especially the larger sizes), so you pay for shipping. Snapfish lets you pick up at Walgreens; RiteAid does not mail-pick up at store only. Be sure to look for a HELP section on website!
10. You can copy your photos to a USB thumb drive (as little as $10-15 or so), or CD, and then take them to a store kiosk.
11. Mac iPhoto Users can download an easy way to upload photos from iPhoto to Shutterfly called “Export Assistant for iPhoto”.
