Tips and Techniques for Sharing Your Photos Online:
1. Keep your photos organized on your computer! For Windows users, check out the links above!
2. I recommend that you do not install the software that comes with your digital camera. I think that you can use Picasa (Windows and now also Mac), or iPhoto on the Mac to keep all of your photos organized.
3. Simplify---I make a point to be particular about the photos I choose to share. I would rather upload fewer photos that I really enjoy to share with family and friends.
4. Most online sites have HELP sections if you are having difficulty uploading your photos. Also, remember that there are some differences in how things are done on a Windows computer or a Mac computer.
Shutterfly has a free Share Site where you can have fun creating your own personal webpage! You get to choose color schemes, layouts, and many other design features.
Be determined to get your photos ORGANIZED on your computer!! Mac users can use iPhoto, and as of Jan. 2009---Mac users can also use the free software download called Picasa! Windows users should check out Windows Live, or could download the free Picasa software so that you can organize, edit, and then share your photos in Picasa Web Albums.
